Festival of Farmland Biodiversity Events

Throughout the month, we will be holding various events to promote more positive engagement around farmland biodiversity.

The National Biodiversity Data Centre is hosting a month-long (virtual) Festival of Farmland Biodiversity for May 2023. The Festival of Farmland Biodiversity will focus on challenges to addressing the biodiversity crisis across much of the farmed landscape in Ireland

Farmer Competition - Biodiversity Audit

Win a complete biodiversity survey of your farm. To enter please share a picture or tell us what action you have taken on your farm to help protect biodiversity. If posting on social media please use #FarmlandBiodiversity. You can also email your entry to farmland@biodiversityireland.ie.

Winner announced on the 2nd of June.

Protecting Farmland Pollinators Farm Walk

Join us on some of the farms that are in Protecting Farmland Pollinators project over the month of May to find out about some the pollinator friendly actions that farms are taking.
