Intervarsity BioBlitz 2015 is Live

We are delighted that this year, four third level institutes will participate in Intervarsity BioBlitz 2015. intervarsity BioBlitz is a race against time where different campuses compete to record as many species as possible over a 24 hour period. This year’s event will run from 17:00hrs on Thursday 24th to 17:00hrs on Friday 25th September. BioBlitz is a fun event, with a serious objective. It is an active  participation event where anyone with an interest in wildlife can join with experts to explore the biodiversity resource of each campus. At the end of the event, the collected information will form the basis of a more detailed inventory of the biodiversity of the campus that can be used to integrate biodiversity into wider campus sustainable development initiatives. Intervarsity BioBlitz is run in conjunction with An Taisce’s Green Campus Ireland initiative which promotes Smarter Sustainable Campus Communities.
