Data Manager


Michelle has responsibility for maintaining the National Biodiversity Database and for collaborating with partner organisations to actively promote increased publishing of biodiversity data. She has responsibility for the annual analysis of the Irish Butterfly Monitoring Scheme data and leads the Centre’s work programme on National Biodiversity Indicators. She also serves as Ireland’s GBIF Node Manager.

Biodiversity Maps now has over 6 million records!

The MothsIreland dataset has been recently updated and now contains just over 1.2 million records, making it the largest dataset on Biodiversity Maps. MothsIreland is a group of experts who maintain one of Ireland’s largest datasets of species observations submitted to them by an extensive network of recorders spread across the country. read more
